MPM Joinery ltd are based in Livingston and cover Edinburgh, Livingston and surrounding areas in West Lothian carrying out all your building and joinery requirements from large to small projects. Mpm have been established for twelve years carrying out all aspects of work. We can offer a full planning service which will give you a completely stress free project.

We carry out all aspects of maintenance works, insurance works, alterations, renovations, kitchens and bathrooms, no project to small. We are trust mark registered meeting government approved standards and are warranted builders; what this means is described below.

MPM are warranted builders, we can provide you with a 10 year insurance backed Master bond warranty, as part of your project package. The cost of this cover is set by the FMB at 1.5% of the contract total. (For a project totalling £1000, the cost would be £15).

Information on Master Bond Warranties and Trustmark

"The Master Bond insurance, meets the needs of someone who is having building work carried out on an existing building and wants insurance protection against loss of deposit, failure of their builder to complete the work, or against specific defects in the completed work". FMB Master Bond builders are vetted and inspected builders who:

Have a minimum three year trading history.
Have their work vetted by an independent body at least every 3 years. All new members from May 2007 have to be inspected prior to their membership being accepted by the Master Bond Warranty Scheme. This is the only scheme in the UK that inspects building companies in this manner.
Builders who wish to join the scheme have to provide 6 client references and at least 3 are confirmed and checked by our Membership Department. We also contact a building professional who can confirm that building company's technical competence.
Have passed independent financial and other checks.
Have met with local FMB Branch approval.
Have public and employer liability insurance.
Have no un-discharged bankruptcies or relevant and outstanding County Court Judgments against company directors at the time of application. It is always sensible to run a credit check yourself on a building company before you sign a contract with your FMB Master Bond building company.
Are VAT registered.
Have passed credit checks, public record and director checks.
Have confirmed their commitment to the FMB and Trustmark’s Code of Practice.

What makes selecting Trustmark tradesmen so worthwhile?

A firm's technical skills have been independently checked through regular on-site inspections, as well as checks on their trading record and financial status;
Firms have signed up to a code of practice that includes insurance, good health and safety practices and customer care;
The approved scheme operator has checked and will continue to monitor the firm's quality of work, trading practices and customer satisfaction;
Firms are able to offer an Insurance Backed Warranty;
Deposit Protection Insurance is available for consumers in the event a firm should cease trading;
